Thumbs up DC vs. Megan header questions...

My exhaust system is as follows:

DC stainless header
Megan test pipe
Neuspeed dual

The question is... I am kinda feelin the Megan header they have. I know DC isn't worth the money, but i picked up the header/exhaust for basically nothing, but am interested in pulling a little extra power out of my exhaust setup. I am also considering a new exhaust and figured i would go with the Megan drift spec, and keep the whole exhaust Megan'd out.

Am i really going to notice any kind of power swapping headers out, and also the same question for the exhaust. I don't really want a LOUD ASS exhaust sound, but i WOULD like the extra power the bigger singles make. On a budget, what single exhaust would give me some more power vs. my neuspeed, but not "set off the neighbors car alarms?"

Thanks in advance-

Any single exhaust is going to be loud. You just have to be able to just live with it or use the silencer. There's some inexpensive single's out there. Megan and Invidia to name a couple. I've had the T1R 70RT single that I loved but sold and regret it ever since. I now have the Megan Single drift spec. Single exhausts are loud period. It is kind of fun going to underground parking and setting off alarms.

From my understanding the DC sports header really gives you nothing. The Megan header has been proven to give some decent gains. And the very cheap price is nice as well. I was looking at the DC header a while ago since I found one for $100 but after researching it, it seemed to be rated as one of the worst ones out there. The megan has proven to give similar gains to the rip off JDM ones.

More hearsay from people that have no idea what they are talking about.

let's see the proof for the megan header getting gains and the DC header losing. No proof = hearsay.

I did some searching and found that the DC Sports header in once curcumstance with an AEM V2 CAI made an extra 2whp. Does not show what it made with stock intake as it was not dyno'd. Torque was also imrpoved by 2wtrq. Shows it might gain something, definitely not noticeable however. I have seen dynos with the Megan Racing header show much larger gains than that.

In simple terms... No.

I doubt very few items approved for the s2000 are CARB approved.
