Default dealerships and modding?

does anyone ever get hassled from the dealer for modding your car? im so hesitant on putting on my cai because of this. i have a 6yr bumper to bumper warranty and dont want to get voided out of my warranty or anything of that nature because of a mod i put on my car. only thing i have put on is hood dampers. i was talking to a friend and he said i should just go all show stuff opposed to doing anything engine.

With just a CAI you should be OK, if you frequent one Honda dealer ask them if they have any issues with working on lightly modified cars. Usually they will void your warranty if they can prove the mod led to the breakdown of the OE part.

If you are doing internal mods they will not want to mess with the car (at least none of them did when I had my civic ) and will have issue diagnosing things.

My car is pretty heavily modded (at least in my opinion) and I dont let the dealr mess with it. I have a few friends that are mechanics and they are the only ones who touch it

Yeah, as long as you dont take it to far. CAI, exhaust, some suspension
pieces. Like never said, you start getting into internals you can forget
the warranty.

I don't think they can void your warranty as long as the aftermarket part doesn't directly affect the problem. It also depends on the dealer you go to. Some are cool, others not so much.

you should be ok at most dealers around our area. I had mine go in with all bolt ons and even clutch for a driveshaft replacement, got it taken care of. i was lucky though. most the bolt ons shouldnt mess up anything on the car.
