I think the Q300 is more comparable to the Tanabe Concept G in terms of volume. This vid. is one of the best comparisons of two exhausts I've seen. And frankly, esp after seeing this, I can't figure out why the Q300 is as popular as it is. It sounds harsh in comparison to the Tanabe which sounds smoother and more refined while maintaining volume. I will say that all Invidia exhausts look great on the car from behind.

What are you looking for in an exhaust? Between those two, I'd get the Medallion but I haven't owned either. I've heard both and see both installed, and like the fit of the Tanabe better.

 

based on the video alone, I would get the Tanabe

Please keep in mind the video above is of the Concept G and not the Medalion Touring. The Touring has sound levels that are very stock-ish at idle and cruise and has less of a, for lack of a better term, high pitch sound to it in comparison to the Q300. It's a deeper sound that I prefer personally. I can't comment specifically on how it sounds with a factory header and cat, but it always sounds good with an HFC.

 

I got a video of the Medalion Touring with a test pipe on. Note that mine will be a bit louder since I'm supercharged.

Someone mentioned the UK mod. I just got mine done today and it sounds amazing. Especially, with a supercharger. You should give that a shot first. I only paid $90.

 

Cannot stand the Invidia. If I had to choose, the Tanabe. Or, as stated above, the UK mod.
