I wouldn't say a tanabe concept G was quiet, I have one on mine with decat and at the rolling road today it nearly made people ears bleed! Kinda made me happy haha. But seriously I love it, it's not stupid loud when cruising about but sounds mental on vtec. Always get comments on how nice it sounds

You will get 20 different opinions from 20 different people. You can't make a decision on listening to video clips on a computer. You have to hear them in person. I have the Q300 and love it with stock header and cat. I don't know what pure shit sounds like ( I personally don't listen to shit LOL ) but mine sounds great !!!!

IMO he Tanabe def looks and sounds better. I'm looking to fit a Concept G to my 2009 model. Does anyone know if it will fit an 09 as the Tanabe site only gives listing for 00 to 05?

As I said in another thread, the Q300 is known to sound terrible when mated with a TP (not sure if headers also effect it). If you’re wanting to use a TP, the Q300 is not the exhaust to have (numerous mentions of rasp in threads on here).

I’ve been more than pleased with my Q300. Fitment is good (seems to be an issue with earlier versions) and the sound is deep, but not overbearing. I’ve heard some other (more expensive systems) at autocrosses, and the only one that I’d say is worth the extra cost is Gernby’s system.

I'm not familiar with either of these exhausts, but if it's sound you're going for, for the price of the Tanabe you could pick up an HKS Hi Power Dual and a testpipe. Apparently one of the nicest sounding setups for these cars. Can't confirm that yet as mine isn't installed yet, but that's what I've heard.
