Default differential collar

So I installed some differential collars from evasive and now I have a massive high frequency vibration above 100. it feels like the drive shaft is going to come through the tunnel . I have gone over it a ton. the driveshaft is on center and bolts are tight. its on right and impossible to put on backward. well no impossible but its on right. I must be over looking something or is this just how much vibration is in the driveshaft? when I take the smaller collars out and leave the bigger back ones in it goes away and I still get good response out of them. my question is, is anyone getting the same vibration with the collars installed.

Do you have pictures of them? Do the collars replace OEM parts? It seems to me that the collars are throwing off the balance.

Check to make sure that your axles ate properly aligned. That would cause your issue.

The collars sit in the OEM mounts. To me it seems like you may have had the vibe issue this entire time and was dampening them with the stock mounts.

Now that you mention it yes the shifter does and always has had the same frequency buzz in it. But i cant feel it through the chassis when the collars are "not" installed i know for a fact it has nothing to do with the axles. And i installed an aluminum driveshaft from driveshaft shop along with a different differential. The only thing left is the tranny. Could clutch related issues cause the buzz through the shifter? Ive checked the trans mounts and engine mount and they are in good shape.

Oh, sheesh, I'd take those things back off! The bushings are just there to make the ride comfortable and quiet. They are also there to protect the differential. I believe those collars will increase wear on the diff and transmission signficantly.

Sounds like you've got a lot of things done to your car making diagnosing the problem more difficult. If I was you I would just try replacing things one at a time with stock parts, if available until you find the culprit.

In regards to the exedy diff collars. I have the same ones and have used them on two cars with zero issues. I really love them and I wish the s2000 came from the factory with them. I can't visualize any way that they significantly or otherwise reduce the life of your diff or transmission.
