Thumbs up Disabling trunk release?

Besides permanently disabling it, does anybody know how to disable the trunk release inside our glove compartment?

What are you looking for? Some type of switch somewhere that enables/disables it?

Might help to say why you're trying to disable it as the way to keep valets out is to lock the glovebox. Of course, if that's not your goal it won't help you.

My reason is simple: To prevent thieves from being able to access my trunk. I can easily lock my glove compartment, but it would only make thieves crack my glove compartment open. Planning on getting a small amp and sub that is going to be stored in the trunk. I wonder if there is a cable inside the trunk that I can disconnect & reconnect (only inside the trunk) to disable the glove trunk release button...

I wish our trunk release button is hidden like our gas door release. When I first got my s2k, it took me a while to find the gas release door. I don't think I would of been able to find it without reading the owner's manual.

Locking the glove box will not keep valets out, you lock/unlock it with the ignition key. Just a heads up.

Easiest way would be to remove the switch and unplug the harness.

just unplug it.
Black connector that has prongs something like _|_
This will make the button useless... but it's tough to get at unless you remove your interior.

There's a modifry mod so that the button only works when the key is in the ignition. Look into that
