Theres a lot of things in the car industry that are held by strong double sided tape.
And I completely agree bolting this would work as well. But with the acrylic any extra torque on the bolts would crack it.

yes If it stuck out half a foot then I would use a different material and mounting style. But mines only a inch and half out, so its extremely sturdy with the indoor outdoor tape.

Ply wood works too

Theres thousands of ways to improve, and change this. But this gives the basic jest that it's easy to make your own splitter instead of spending the mula.
