Default Do I need half shaft spacers?

Ordered my PSS9 suspension, and plan on lowering my car a little bit. Are the halfshaft spacers snake oil, or do they really help save some parts from extra wear?

they wont get rid of the problem, but they definately will extend the life of the cv's.

we just installed the 2piece t1r spacers onto my friends s2k. he is slammed right now on 18's. his vibrating was really bad, and now. GONE! im sure down the road it will come back, but not for a while. since your JUST NOT installing the coilovers it would be best to get the spacers on now to even more prolong the life of your cv buckets and even your diff.

if your gonna buy them, get the t1r 2 piece ones, they are cake to install, the 1 piece requires you to take the driveshaft off.

Already bought em. $150 for piece of mind. I'm not gonna slam the car...maybe drop .5" or so.

Did a search, read a bit, and decided, they are worth it. For $150, you extend the CV life by 400%.

.5 inch probably wouldnt induce the vibrations as much as a 1 inch or 2 inch drop would but definatly the spacers are gonna help. did you get the 2 piece ones?

I'll definitely buying it when I'm lowering my car soon. Just get the non-racespec one it's not expensive at all.

Just to clear this up just a little bit, you don't have to take the driveshaft off to do anything with the CV's. I think you meant the halfshafts. In any case, if one were to buy the 1 piece spacers, you still don't HAVE to take the halfshafts off the car. All you have to do is pop the ball joint (which you'd have to do in order to take the halfshaft off).

Yes, the 2 piece spacers are easier to install then the one piece, but not THAT much easier. To take care of the shakes, I did the more difficult but CHEAPER solution of just swapping the CV buckets.

ive also read that if you lower your car with lower mileage less than 20k that you dont really need these, there was a big thread about it not too long ago.

It's all good. I could just imagine someone ripping off their driveshaft and asking themselves "WTF do I do now??"
