Door mirrors
Is there a light weight door mirror that fits the S that is not Carbon fibre like the Craft square - APR ones?
I want light weight mirrors but don’t want to pay the silly money that the Carbon ones are - just black plastic will do, the main thing is that they utilise the existing mounting area on the door as the Craft square / APR ones do.

There are plastic (nylon) versions available.

The craft square / APR use a large base mounting plate that is the correct contour of the door and utilises the existing mounting holes.
I dont want to have to go to the extent of plating up the doors and re-painting them by fixing base plates that dont fit straight on to the oem mirror position.

dont mean to be a debby downer, but the oem door mirrors are not "heavy" per say. I think most people swap them for the looks.
Booztin:
If I was in the states I would pay $250 for a pair but I'm in the UK and to get them here I would have to pay $448.00.

Thanks for that - seen all of those, its the mounting base plates thats the concern to me...
Granted the APRs are more for looks but they are much lighter than the OEM assembly with the motors and all. I'm on a weight loss program with the S and whatever weight you shed above the car's center of gravity has a greater handling benefit than below (e.g. from the exhaust).
Two minor issues; the mirrors themselves are extremely easy to steal, only the baseplate has an anti-theft feature.
Also, they extend farther out than OEM, careless people hit them too easily, and with no power adjust, they're a bitch to align. I swapped the right and left to pull them in closer to the car. I still highly recommend them, would love the Craft Square but price was an issue for me.
