Ok so my dog somehow ripped up the very top portion of my door panel. The part that got damaged is the black section above the red leather on a red/black door panel. My question is if I were to get an all black door panel, would it be possible to just swap the red middle section for the black one and put that new one on without it looking any different?

 

I've played around with the door panels, and it definitely looks like the middle section pops out so that you can replace it with your red inserts.

 

Just make sure you get the proper AP2 door panels. The middle sections are different sizes between the ap1/2 crossover.

Does anyone know how much a red door panel insert will cost brand new to replace it, whether it be directly from Honda or vendor?

 

based on their diagram, i dont think they will sell just the red door panel insert itself. they only sell the entire panel for about $290.
