^^ No...they are not needed. If you start to get vibration--and you probably will given the age of your car--you can simply swap the inner CV buckets from the driver side to passenger and vis versa.

Yeah, but I heard that it makes your axles weaker b/c they're sitting at a different angle, so if you're making a good amount of power it's easier to snap the axles.

so these go between the drive shaft and the back bridge or the back bridge and the half axles?

I have the t1r spacers installed on my 01'. Years ago, I had HKS springs, which lowered my car about 1.5", then went with Tien coilvers afterwards, and then returned to stock suspension for while. I noticed a slight vibration, but only at speeds over 80mph. A few months ago, I had kwv3's installed and decided to get the t1r spacers installed as well. After the install, I noticed my car felt a bit smoother when moving forward, and the vibration I had is now gone.

Here's the pic of the spacers installed.

That's not true. As long as the S2000 (00-09) has been lowered, the angle inside the axles will change and this will cause wear vibration.

There is a huge long thread in the Under the Hood forum where this was examined carefully...even with CAD drawings to scale for the s2k. The angle difference was insignificant.
