Default Drop in filter

Im not sure if this is the right place.

I just removed the plastic wall in the stock air box, im getting an after market filter tomorrow.

i was wondering since i removed the plastic wall, getting a bigger filter than the stock or the same size?

would it matter?

i got the aem dryflow filter right now, that is a little bigger than the oem filter, i think it was 4 inch hole. the oem intake tube is about 3.5 inch big, and when u put the 4 inch dryflow aem filter it will go over the rubber tube. and the oem style goes inside the tube. the knn oem replacemnt filter isnt a bad idea to get, its long lasting, and reliable filter, and goes in the pipe just like the oem. and the drylow filter that i have is just little larger than the knn, and u connect it by inserting a the portion of the intake pipe into the inlet (4inch) of the dryflow filter. ididnt feel a difference but it sounds quite louder than the knn.
