Default Dry CF Parts

first let me say i'm sorry if this is no allowed please lock the thread if it is, i'm not trying to sell anything in this thread just want the opinion of the s2k community.

For reasons i dont want to get into i now have the resources and tools (i think) to make my own dry cf.

Getting to the point i want to start toying around with making dr cf parts for the s2k. I was gonna start with simple things till i get my technique down so i'm looking for suggestions what simple/smaller parts would you guys like to see, i.e. wing mirrors etc. Now i wont be selling any yet i'm not trying to solicit orders either, asking which you guys think are the best and down the road since i'd have the molds i may start selling them in small batches at cost on s2ki, at which time i will become a sponsor. Thanks for your input guys.

CF sun visors might be a cool thing to have.

you could easily start with a cooling panel, radio door, mirrors, etc

Interesting idea, but isn't making dry carbon an expensive process, compared wet carbon, for interior pieces?

it is more expensive yes, but i wanna practice dry carbon because my goal is to move to exterior parts once i figure out how to make smaller dry carbon. On the upside to using it as interior its cheaper then making exterior parts so good for practice, plus they are stronger and lighter then wet not that that will save more then a few grams.

Mostly i wanna experiment with unidirectional carbon fiber sheets and see if i can make my own pattern of laying sheets that results in stronger and lighter parts then using bidirectional carbon fiber (thats the one that gives you the look of cf).

If people are interest i would love to hear your top 5 parts you'd like to see in cf

But for practical cases, maybe you can contact PWJDM as they make some amazing products.

The class seems like a good idea... but as far as pieces to test your skills I would say things like mirrors, maybe a centre gauge mount that is mounted where the interior light is?? Could be cool...

good suggestion on the classes i'm gonna look into my local university see if they offer some that would save me loads of time.
thanks for all the suggestions guys. Gonna try mirrors first, that gauge idea sounds great but is probably too complicated for me at the moment i wanna start with things i can make molds of. I may start with pillars and sun visors too
