Default eBay lip

I’m pretty young and this past Christmas, I asked my family if they could help me get a lip for Christmas. They got me an eBay polyutherane lip and even painted it for me which I am extremely grateful for. It looks absolutely beautiful. However, it doesn’t really fit. For reference I have an 03 ap1. I bought the molding strip from Honda as well to help on installation but it just doesn’t fit. It’s super tight around the bumper and even when I do manage to squeeze it on there’s a decent gap where the bumper and lip connect. Is there anything you guys can tell me that would help? Much appreciated.

Can you post a picture?

most aftermarket body panels need a decent amount of massaging.

Heat usually helps but you’ll have to be careful since it is painted. Depending where you are leaving it in the warm sun a bit can help make it easier to fit into place. Also over time you’ll be able to make some adjustments and close those gaps but getting it to fit like an oem one isn’t likely.
