Default ECU reset on 06+

I have a question. Did some searching and haven't found a specific answer.

So I had a 70mm tp with my stock exhaust and was running fine, pulled my buddy in his 07 GT.

Someone had told me to reset my ecu and swap to a 60mm tp.

Re-raced and he pulls me now.

The questions here are as follows:

Is the 60mm tp setup better or worse than the 70mm tp with the stock exhaust.

Also, when we reset my brothers MY04 ecu via the fuse it beeped at us. When we did it on my MY06 it did not. Is there a different procedure involved with the newer models?

Thanks in advance.

Go with 70mm TP. You will get improved throttle response and better flow to a power making exhaust later on like TR1 or Greddy SE.
I have the Berks 70mm TP with built in CEL fix. Plus if you get FlashPro you can turn off secondary O2 sensor.

Alright. I put the 70mm back on and attempted an ecu reset.

Performance will suffer if you use a larger diameter test pipe than your exhaust. If you have the stock exhaust (60 mm), then use a 60 mm test pipe.

Significant difference?

Larger test pipe than exhaust will not help and may hurt. Resetting the ecu can be done by pulling the fuse, wait for 10 minutes put it back in, (or just disconnect battery) then when you start the car up, just let it idle for about 5 minutes..it will reset. I have an 03 and when I reset it I never heard a beep.

You should get Flashpro and a proper tune if you really want to take advantage of the test pipe. It will allow you to lower VTEC and pick up a good amount of mid range HP/TQ. Gernby has done quite a few Flashpro e-tunes which is probably your best option.

I'm also curious. Is it a large difference? I still have the 60mm on the rack willing to swap back. I currently have the 70mm on now.
