Eibach Sway-Bars Review
#41
If non-staggered and you don't have a big wing you definitely do not need the rear. I'm 255 all around with just the front bar on full stiff and KW clubsports and I love it. Car drives great.

I need to get my front and rear on still. I'm running.
255 starspecs non-staggered
HKS hipermax sport coilovers(13/11)
OEM alignment with -2* at all 4 corners(for now)
OEM MYOO sway bars at the moment(stiffest front, besides the CR)
At the moment it seems to oversteer but I haven't really pushed it yet. The front coilovers are almost on full stiff as well. I need to play with the rear to see if I can dial down the oversteer some more.

Currently my setup is:
OEM AP1 schocks W. GC Coilver sleeves
Front springs 440lbs
Rear springs 380
Tires: Sumitomo HTRZ
225 40 18
265 35 18
I will keep this setup for soem time with likely only changing to coilovers either PSS9s (which have softer spring rates) or JDM style coils with 500+lbs sprins all around. Same question....both or just front bar? Thanks again!

For staggered tires and if you want stock-like handling balance, then you will want both. If I was going to go non-staggered, I would probably keep the Eibach rear and replace the front with a Saner bar, which is way stiffer than even the Eibach.

another track day this past weekend. Adjusted the rear toe to around 1/16th toe-in vs 1/8th.
Car rotates much smoother now, feels very planted and easy to find the limit of traction. also allows the car to slide a bit before it starts stepping out.
Again, this is front bar only, stock rear bar.

Had a 1999 JDM AP1 before and swapped into a UKDM 2002 shell. Just swapped my rear anti roll bar over from the 99 one and you can feel that the 99 bar is heavier than the 02 one. Haven't been out to test yet though but I'm sure I will be a lot happier.

Setup
MY02
Bilstein PSS coilover
Front -1.8 camber 0 toe (will probably run about -2 to -2.2 on next adjustment)
Rear -2.5 Camber 0.2 total toe
Eibach front sway on stiff
Eibach rear sway on soft
Tires:Stock ap1 sizing Continental Extreme Contact DW . 35-38psi hot
So far the car handles great, spirited canyon driving the car still handles very neutral and only becomes tail happy when instigated with the gas. Though most say that you can only notice the difference on right to left motion just driving on a flat road there is an immediate difference. I had my friend drive it prior to installation and even he noticed that the ride became a little more firmer, it was then confirmed by a complaint from my girlfriend later in the day when she asked what I did with the car and why she can "feel every little crack" in the road. haha. So far Im 100% content, installation was a breeze, the car handles great and I love the way how the chassis reacts to quick switchbacks. Also, there are no odd creaks and noises either. I should have another review in about a month and a half or so when I get it back on the track.

I have some of these bars fitted to my AP1 (03) but with stock '06 springs fitted, and standard rear AP2 wheels front and rear. (245F/255R tyres fitted)
I think the rear bar is much stiffer than the front with like for like settings.
This is very much NOT the most scientific test... but, I tried jacking the car up on one side exactly half way between wheel centres (50/50 weight ~ )
and with the front bar soft and the rear hard, when the front wheel just lifts off the ground the rear is already 3 inches clear.
With the front soft and the rear soft the rear is about 1.5 inches off the ground when the front just lifts
With the front hard and the rear soft they lift almost exactly the same.
So, the different spring rates will have an effect, but the '06 rates are not a lot different front to rear
so it's a very rough but possibly useful indication of the relative stiffness.

Put on the front bar yesterday and took it to the local track. Coming from an oem 05 bar this really made a huge difference. Running 255 square on oem 05 bars resulted in huge oversteer. Now it very well balanced with only slight oversteer on low speed entry and slight understeer In high speed corners. Ride quality has suffered some but hey it's a sports car.
