Engine modification
Hey everyone, Recently i bought my 2007 s2000, and i want to start doing some work on the car, the two main things i would like to change is my exhaust and intake. I know what exhaust i want, but im not to sure of what intake i should get. can i get some suggestions on what intake to get. Thanks
You will get about the same gain running all stock components with the tune as you would getting intake and exhaust without a tune. Then when you get an intake and exhaust you will already have the flashpro so you can optimize those mods.
FlashPro is hondata.. one of the best things you can do for your car.. i would get AEM V2 for intake.. and if you want to get tuned with the flashpro and not use a off the shelf map. then get all the mods before you get tuned

Yes get all mods then tune that what I always do on bikes. otherwise you are throwing money out the window.

The reason why the FlashPro is such a great mod to start with is because you can use the "canned" tunes while you have the basic mods. It isn't until you start getting more significant mods (that you really need to get a custom tune.
That's actually not right. The gains from a FlashPro on a stock car are very different from the gains from bolt-ons with a stock tune. If the car is stock, then the FlashPro won't really increase power, but it will allow you to smooth out the VTEC engagement, raise the rev limit, and customize the throttle map (very nice). However, bolt-ons can give some power increases by themselves. They just aren't particularly "safe" power increases.
