yeah but then they'd have to design a new rear bumper which we all know costs major $$$. although, i'd have to be honest.. if honda made the CR with a single i'd buy the bumper. singles weigh less, make more power, and its only logical that an inline 4 would have only one exhaust.
they wouldn't have to design a new rear bumper...they would just put a filler like these other s2k drivers with singles do.

I can prove that it saves weight over dual and makes power! Here is a thread of fellow S2k owner from AZ that did a comparison of dual vs single and the single "silenced" made same power as dual and unsilenced simply murdered it! https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=651977 Soooo single FTMFW! Soon to get Ti-C 70mm! One thing to add is that the single is usually louder than the dual but then again it all depends which ones you are comparing... As the guy with the dyno from above said that his previous dual invidia was louder than single Ti-C 70mm

i see it like this, the engine is a single header inline 4. ideally, one header should go to one exhust, with a single tip, no need to go from 1->2. a dual exhaust makes it look like its a v6, which it is not. i would have preferred the s2k to come stock with a single exit exhaust.

if i had an ap1 rear bumper, i would go with a single and get the single tip insert, but since i have an ap2, it would just look horrible, with an empty opening. ill have to go with a dual when i do upgrade my exhaust.

or you could swipe bumpers with an ap1! That's what I did since I have a Ap2, running a single with a ap1 rear bumper.

I love dual exhausts. That is all. My camaro also had a 8-2-1-2 exhaust system. Duals just plain look better Show me any exotic car that doesnt have duals (other than like one giant single in the middle). The weight savings, unless youre track only, is minimal.

You guys bitch about weight savings, but I don't really see the point. Most of you are not going notice .0001 of a second around a turn by saving 5 lbs. Hell, most people on this forum only mod. for aesthetic reasons. Lets just say it straight up, "I like the single better because it looks better!"

I would rather use the single as an excuse for money savings because you save about $300 +- over a dual. I bought a single because I wanted to save some money for other things
