Most cost effective way would probably just to go back to stock. I can't see spending close to $1000 for an exhaust that's just a little louder than stock. Good luck.

I have a Skunk 2 megapower with a 70mm berk test pipe and it's pretty loud for the street. So much so that I'm putting my stock exhaust back but keeping the skunk 2 for the track when I go. The testpipe will be used with my stock exhaust despite the difference in sizing for my wallets sake as the local PD is starting to take notice that I'm around lol.

I recommend just getting a HFC or a test pipe from Berk and pair it with an OEM exhaust. I hear that the Fuji exhaust and the q300 aren't as quiet as some people think/want. I'd rather not waste my money to achieve quietness myself because frankly there is no perfect exhaust that will give you that out there that is under $1k.

I think the Tanabe Medallion Touring Dual Exhaust would work well for you. Otherwise go Mugen as it provides the added sound when you want it on demand.
