Default Solution For Loud Obnoxious Invidia Exhaust.

Latley i've been getting high beam from other motorist. it must be my loud ass Invidia exhaust? I would just put my stock exhaust back on, but i liked the way Invidia looks on the S. So, i decided to put the silencer back on. I had the silencer on before, but i didn't liked how it sounds. Also, i noticed it feels a little restrictive. So, before i slap that silencer back on, i did a little modifiacation to the silencer. I want to create a free flowing exhaust with the silencer. Basically, i flare out the tip on the silencer that goes into the exhaust. With the flare out silencer intip, the sounds is just about right. And now it feels less restrictive with the flare out silencer intip. Now, i could hear my Comptech CAI and the Invidia exhaust. And guess what?? No drones... I like how it sounds when i'm at WOT.

Do you have a pic of what you did exactly?

.... i've NEVER heard of someone flashing high beams for a loud exhaust. i'd bet money that if it was oncoming traffic, they thought you had your high beams on (common with the S2k) and if they were behind you, then it was either something else, or you have a tail light out or something.

I was getting high beam from behind...all my lights works and the trunk are secure. So, it must be the loud exhaust. Anyway, the drones it makes between 3k and 4k rpm is giving me a headache. Now, with the silencer it's much more bearable. It's quiet under normal driving condition. Loud and mean when your at full WOT!! It sounds so sweet now, i could hear my Comptech intake.

i guess i'm still scratching my head on this one. again i've NEVER heard of someone flashing their brights at a "loud exhaust". i still am not convinced that was the issue. but regardless.....

i have the invidia exhaust and while certainly louder than any exhaust i've had, i love it, and it isn't "obnoxiously loud" to me at all. i hardly ever use the silencers unless on a very long trip. i've also never had anyone flash their lights at me, and have had more than a handful of police cars behind me that have never pulled me over or said a thing.

are you they didnt stop and let you pass? once i was on a dark back roads and i know that i was 'flashing' my low beams because of the bouncy road. the dude in front of me turn into a entrance and then proceeded to follow me with his highbeams. then i stopped on the road completely
