Default Exhaust Sound Question

I just got Apex'i WS2 duals from a friend for almost nothing. I haven't installed it yet but just wanted some opinions.

Is there a way to make this exhaust have a deeper tone? I know this is one of the quietest exhaust on the market but the price was good I couldn't resist. I'm trying to see if I can save money and just modify it. I have a t1r 70mm resonated test as well. If anyone has a clip of what the ws2 + t1r tp sounds like that would be awesome.

If this is a bad idea then I will just resell it and use the profit towards another exhaust.

That being said. Thanks in advance.

What's a HFC? I'm guessing that means Hi Flow Cat? If so then I don't want to replace the test pipe with a HFC.

isn't the apex a 60mm exhaust? i don't believe its a good idea to use a 70mm test pipe with it, could be wrong though

ah my mistake. i thought it said 70mm on the website but was acutally lookin at the wrong one. the t1r I have says it's a direct fit so I'm assuming its the same size as the stock piping.

Well all test pipes for our cars are a "direct fit" if its a 60mm, or a 70mm. No matter what size it is, it still bolts up directly to an exhaust for our cars. So yes a 70mm test pipe will fit on the OEM, or any 60mm exhaust perfectly, its just the piping diameter thats different. It would be alot better to run a test pipe the same size as your exhaust so it will flow smoother, but running a 70mm isnt going to hurt anything. It's not like your going to lose power, or notice anyways.

Also, yes, a HFC means a high flow cat.

Stick with oem if the the apex'i is 60mm. You want it to be equal size or smaller than the exhaust diameter.
