go to your local section, find a meet, go to it and listen to what people have. in my area almost everyone who comes to the meets has a different exhaust so you can get a feel for what you are looking for.

For your budget I'd either go with HKS (sounds good with the S) or Invidia V4 (Q300). Good luck.

But you will go broke! I do love the sound and weight of the 60rs, it's too bad i'm poor.

Got a good deal on a used Tanabe Concept G. Nice deep tone down low and the volume is very controllable. The attention is only there when you want it to be. WOT it's aggressive but not to loud until... VTEC yo! It then transforms into unforgettable shriek.

I've had three on my S.

Buddyclub. Gained some hp. Very bad drone. Saved a lot of weight with just being one canister. Got rid of because of drone

T1R. same as above

Apexi Worldsport II. Sounded like stock. Looks good from the back. Thats all it did, look good.

HKS. Sounded nice with my HFC. Thats all it did, sound nice.

Currently, Greddy SE. I like the most out of the three. Deep sounding, hardly any drone, and gained quite a bit from 6k-redline.

After having the T1R,HKS etc., I say save up for the GReddy. You get what you pay for

If you want a quiet exhaust which makes the most power, I will suggest the T1R EM Sparrow. We have dyno'ed 14whp on a bone stock AP2. If you want to know how it sounds like, you can find it on Youtube.

J's 60rs if you can find one. I love mine. No drone and not loud at all. It sounds like straight sex
Now there's some

My 60RS has alot of drone TO ME. And it's note is a bit on the loud side. Granted the quality and weight loss are top notch.

Just look at the canister designs to determine the drone/exhaust note. The T1REM has got to be the quietest design available.

I'd love to find someone wanting to swap a T1REM for my J's 60RS.

i am thinking about upgrading from the Greddy TiC dual to the SE, but it is a pretty expensive exhaust. i am just doing a lot of freeway driving lately and i am getting a little tired of the volume.

i think i am actually holding back a little bit from enjoying the car as much as i could because i don't like rattling windows.
