Post Extra power on demand...

For those looking for some extra power at the click of a button, check-out this product:

Several of my Evo buddies have this modification and made anywheres from 20-40hp depending on associated mods. My wife and I plan on doing this mod on her Evo, and will probably do the same thing on my S2000 at some point. This is a pretty darn good bang for the buck!

This modification can be done on ANY car. They sell this electronic device for various sized piping. If you "explore" the link I posted you will confirm this. This mod would be beneficial regardless if you are N/A or FI. The gains only improve if you are FI, especially on race gas.

Bottom line is this is a very nice stealth mod, and give you a nice power bump on demand.

Im confused how does this work, it looks like its just something you put in your exhaust to choose how much flow you can put through it, but I dont understanding the idea of restricting air flow to gain more power....

Would it really improve over a straight through, 3" single with only one bend?

You are not restricting air flow--you are freeing it! Instead of exhaust gases exiting from your tail-pipe, they are existing from your down-pipe (or equavilent)!

Also, would the reduction in back pressure cause you to boost spike?

So this is a replacement to a whole exhaust system then? I still dont see how this would be any more beneficial than running open downpipe, a smaller/bigger 3" piece of metal wouldnt have that much of a drastic effect.

^This cutout allows you to run open downpipe/header when you want, and through your exhaust when you want. If you were open downpipe all the time you would be way too loud and get exhaust tickets.

No. It is a "cut-out" that can be welded into an straight portion of your exhaust system. The closer to the exhaust/turbo manifold the better.
