thanks for the support everyone. due to being in the army i wont be home until december 16th so thats when ill be working on it again. im gonna try to get it done though! ill be sure to get more pics though too. im sure it will be snowing then up in PA so probably wont be able to drive it. :/

still not home!! really want to work on this.. so i have rented out a garage where im located and will be working on it every weekend i get a chance to. give me time to get my car where im at and into the garage and ill update this as soon as i get started back up. i promise cause i need my car on the road again! im suffering from s2000 and boost withdraw.. driving the wifes automatic prelude is killing me!

Ok I'm new to the s2k world and I was reading all this about diffs and I seen something that I need to clear up I seen were some 1 said on a lowered s2k u have to put spacers in the axels plz tell me I missunderstood because I have a slamed ap1 full k sport on it and if this is true how needed is it

Are you sure that diff is from a R33 as it look like it is a r230 from a 300zx tt? Trying to do my own conversion at the moment and looked at a lot of r33 diff's and can't find one like yours apart from a 300zx tt!

I have about 10k miles on my welded companion flange. (mine is on a ford 8.8 though) I put the flange on the brake lathe to make sure everything was perfectly straight. I dont remember the exact numbers, but the runout when I was done was better than on a stock s2000 diff. Since the s2000 driveshaft uses 2 cv's it doesnt really matter if its a "little" wobbly. lol

the only reservation I had about going this route was that every factory nissan VLSD I have ever used was garbage and a good replacement was over $1k. There were a few nissans that came with a different style lsd, but those are $$$ and hard to find. Thats why I went w/the ford diff.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead but I would love to know if you finished your project.. My diff is giving out & im thinking of getting the r33 diff
