Thats what Im using too. I dont know if it makes any more power with the plate, but it looks good to me.

haha well said, bolt ons are pretty much useless to the s,
i wish i knew this and just saved to boost,

benefit of aemv2=no heat soak
but downside COULD hydro lock if you dont make a shield for it

A shield wont save you from true hydrolock when it gets submerged, you need an bypass valve, and damn that things great, they put it on a nsx, dunked the intake tubing directly in a fish tank, and ran a second gear pull, no water made it to the engine what so ever.

Yea but the bypass valve adds enough restriction to take away the bulk of the CAI's advantage

Do it. The AUT plate deffinently works at higher speeds. Here's my set-up now; FIPK box, ebay pipe, BPI velocity stack with K&N filter and AUT plate.

I am running k&n fipk with aut plate, and I think its a great combo! I cut some vents in the plastic under the scoop on the plate to allow even better airflow from outside the bay. I def noticed a small gain and better throttle response with this combo. I can say in the hot texas summer it helps keep the bog down when accelerating from a stop or red light. It should also help gas mileage...

yeah i had an aem v2 but couldnt stand being scared of sucking in water! so i got FIPK and it sounded great and felt more power, and now i have a comptech and feels even better
aem makes more power
The aem makes a few more in the top end 7.5k+ but the comptech smacks the aem silly in the midrange and this is being said with dyno proof ( I don't have the sheets, but I witnessed it personally)

I've been interested in the AUT/K&N FIPK combo. I've got the K&N part, but haven't been able to justify the additional cost of the AUT. Seems like every single used AUT cooling plate I've seen is damaged.
