are you talking about the vtec crossover? maybe it feels like the vtec crossover is smoother?

It's all in your head. I doubt you can feel your car go faster or slower with just one mod.

Does boost count as one mod?

I think he means the crossover point, which would mean that you gained power instead of losing power. You probably gained power before vtec and thats why the vtec "surge" doesnt feel as strong because its not such a drastic change in power.

the fipk gives max gains at the vtec engagement point. in essence, it smooths out the power jump. you're not losing power, you now have a more right before the vtec engagement.

feeling the strong pull at vtec doesn't mean you lost power. pull is stronger in ap1s but it doesn't mean they have more power than ap2s.

+1 for crossover being smoother and feeling more pull below Vtec

Sorry for the late reply. Ive been driving my car all day/night. I had unplugged the battery per the installation instructions and the ECU was relearning things. After driving it around for a while, I started to feel some pep.

At first, when I hit vtec, the car got loud and growly, but I honestly did not get any pull or surge. It felt as though I was missing backpressure, but as I drove more and more, things started to fall into place. I didnt think I was going to love the intake as much as I do now. The car seems to drive so much smoother. Not sure about the gains, but it feels like a little puppy, ready to bolt!
