Unhappy fitting gauge pod on a pillar. line doesnt allow

i installed my dual pod onto my a pillar. heres the problem. for my oil pressure gauge, its mechanical so im using a -4 line.....this isnt allowing me to fit the gauge properly unless i flip it upside down because its hitting part of the pod. anyone have any ideas. was just going to cut the pod just enough to fit the line

sounds like you have your solution, cut the pod

But honestly, electrical is the way to go, I wouldn't want to run a pressurized oil line up near my face.

well i solved it. the thing is those clear tubing lines that come with the autometer gauges crack very easy. so i converted to use a steel braided line. no problem =) n about the mounting. i went ahead and and bought an autometer single gauge pod mount n mounted under dash where its still visible and them my wideband and (soon) boost gauge will go ahead and be mounted on the pillar

Especially not when the oil pressure on the F20/F22 gets up to, oh, 80-100PSI on a regular basis... That's a lot of pressure behind hot oil...

If you had problems with an electrical gauge, was it because it was poorly installed or poorly designed?

I've had a PLX OP gauge for 6 mos with the only problem being a loose connector at the sending unit

it was an AEM, had 2 sending units go bad and they WERE installed properly. steel braided lines can easily hold over 100psi. never had a problem with them but i can see how people would worry. they both have pros and cons.
