Default Flared Fenders

This weekend I decided to flare my fenders. I asked all over town and no one seamed real confident about doing it. So I decided just to do it my self and save some coin

Good old hammer and dolly makes fast work of the thin sheet metal Oh yeah the beer helps too

A little bit of filler to help find all the highs and lows...Then its back to the hammer and dolly to smooth things out.

Spray it with some primer and sand it down and your pretty much good to go. Next stop ...The paint booth

In the end it took me about 4 days to complete and it was really tedious work

Let me know what you think or

Respectable work, very impressive job. I'm suprised that the crease can be hamered out so well, is that what the bondo is for? Any plans for the rear?

Ive seen some half attemps which just don't look right, or look like poor attemps just to make room, but less then finished looking. Yours is on a different level, I bet it will look good once painted. I would go show off your work to the body shops you enquired with once your painted and done. Hope you got a before shot to show with your after.

Yeah I've seen both. Most of the time people are just trying to push them out with a fender roller but it never looks very good. If you want a smooth, polished look theres only one way to do it. Bang 'em out You can do it. Hell I did it.
