I find it funny that after switching from my 99 civic to my s2000 that having a more expensive car I would be more likely to see people spending money on quality parts opposed to eBay parts. One thing I learned from owning a older style Honda is always buy OEM. Yea it's more money, but nothing beats OEM fitment. Now it's was a little easier for me to justify spending $300~~ on a OEM lip because 1. I have a Ap2 which the OEM lip is already sexy, and 2. It comes paint matched. Now think about this.... You spend $90 (let's say $90 shipped) on a eBay lip, then most likely you have to have it painted, another 100-150$ and then you need hardware and 2-4 hours of trying to fit it on the bumper. So do the math. If you don't have money for it right away. Save money and buy later. Don't skimp and end up spending double down the road.

I would agree with ya but they don't make oem ones anymore. Your best bet is to find a used one...

The eBay lips are a gamble.
You can get ones from the same seller/maker and some be perfect an others be completely off.
Baysonr was the seller I got my last ap1 lip from and it was about 90% fitment wise. It fit about 97% after I bought the molding. I've heard people have horrible figments from the same seller though so there's really no way of knowing.
Just get one and cross your fingers.

Have you tried finding an OEM AP1 lip??? You obviously have not.

I have tried high and low and have come up empty handed. FYI: OEM lips were painted body colour. I have had no luck finding one in Sebring Silver - and believe you me, I have made many phone calls to many dealer across the nation. Many show this part as "available" but in my colour, no dice.

Fortunately I had a chance to meet up with some of my local S2K enthusiasts. One of the fellow members had one and he was willing to part with it. Lucky me. Not only do I own a sub 5,500 mile 2003 S2K but now I have been able to source an absolutely pristine genuwine in-the-box Honda AP1 lip in Sebring Silver. Life is good indeed!
