Default Fuel Injectors

I have been doing some mods on MY01 and was wondering about the injectors.

What has been done as far as mods go: Berk header & test pipe, Spoon Snorkle, gutted & insulated air box, K&N Filter, 70mm throttle body, ported (70mm) and polished intake manifold, Hondate gasket, BDL fuel rail and a AEM fuel pressure regulator. In March I will be changing out the rest of my exhaust to the Tanabe Medalion Touring.

I am still running stock injectors and was wondering if there was something better I should be looking into.

I would get the fuel pump (walbro) before I get the injectors.

if you don't go FI or even if you do at stock boost (7psi), you'll be needing 550cc. unless you go more and do cams and pistons, 3mm gasket, and boost to 15psi, you'll need 880cc, just to have your 30% safety margin.

Oh yes, I tuned my own AEM EMS on my Evo.

What is gained by going to a Walbro fuel pump?

I would think a FPR would be a better investment

no, the stock injectors are more than enough unless you go FI.

^agreed.

I would strongly recommend some type of engine management such as AEM EMS to take full advantage of your current mods. Stock injectors are good to about 320rwhp.

And by going to an engine management system it will let you throw away that fuel pressure regulator.

AEM EMS if you can afford it...Greddy eManage Ultimate next best...VAFC1 or II otherwise.

No gains on your current setup.
