Default Fuel System Upgrades

I have my AP1 stripped down to bare chassis right now and am re-building as a time-attack/weekend warrior track car. I am approaching the point where I am almost ready to start putting everything back together other than the motor which I still need to source. That being said, before I put the gas tank back in I was hoping to get any fuel system upgrades (fuel pump) done so I don't have to pull it back off later on.

Motor configuration will be a standard AP1 with stock displacement, 12.3-1 comp, cams and bolt-ons. My question is how big of a fuel pump should I run and what brand can you guys recommend? Also curious about what FPR to use as well.

Thanks for your help!

Just get a Walbro 255. Most commonly used one out there.

DeatschWerks' 300LPH pump is pretty popular as well, and said to be quieter than the Walboro 255.

it flows better (not only does it flow more but it is more consistent) than the walboro but is twice the price. for your application the walboro 255 will be more than sufficient. and if you ever need to change it out you do not have to drop the tank to replace it- there is a panel under the soft top tray that allows the fuel filter and fuel pump to be removed.

I would also recommend getting a new fuel filter.
