Default Fujitsubo Muffler

I like the sound of the Legalis R muffler for the S2000, but if you wanted to build a custom single does anyone know where you could (or if you could) buy that same muffler seperately?

I can't find a source on google, or any on ebay. I see from searching Fujitsubo exhaust systems their Legalis R systems use different mufflers on different cars, some round, some more oval as on the S2000 model. I would be looking for one of those potentially.

I could also be interested in a muffler from Flowmaster or Borla, but don't know what they sound like. I want to stay away from round coffee can, flatulent sounding mufflers at all costs. I don't like them. A little louder than stock is fine, but not too loud.

apexi and tanabe sell universal mufflers. they all have the sports style oval look. apexi has both 60mm and 80mm.

Cutting the OEM system off right before the split then adding a mandrel bent section (2.75") to a Borla can would work pretty well IMO. Finish it with a polished pipe and it'll look almost like an ASM.

I'd avoid Flowmaster BTW. The muffler can will be seen from the back and it's finished too rough.

What does an oval Borla sound like? On a scale of loud but stock sounding on one side, to fart can on the other. I want something that does not make my neighbors look out the window.

I like the idea of the Fujitsubo because it apparently only gets loud at high rpm, and I drive mildly in my neighborhood.

And Mister X.

If you are ever on Dole Street, getting onto H1, stop by the house with the 2 busted up MR2 turbos and give him a few bucks to fix them up. Its my favorite car and they have been sitting in that garage all whack and busted up for about 5 years now. I have been waiting to see the finished product.

Maybe next year.

the borla exhaust is gonna be a bit louder than the fuji. It's not ricey at all, it's a deep mellow tone and, from what i can tell, stays that way in the lower rpms. It gets a lil loud in the higher rpms though.

I've heard the flowmaster setup on a s2k in person and i really didn't like it, but that's just me. Also, look on youtube, there's a vid of a s2k with flowmasters on, sound quality isn't great, but u will get an idea.
