Default Gladman Performance Rear Subframe Tie Bar

As i have always like the look of a tie bar (had one on my EK hatch before switching to an ASR subframe brace) i had been through the forums and read through one thread (https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/763...lower-tie-bar/) that had people putting up the BEAKS bar. That was the primary bar that people used. Well at least thats the only one that was pictured. After deciding that i wasn't going to spend $100+ on a bar that was there for mainly cosmetic purposes, i opted to make one of my own until i stumbled upon this bar on ebay thanks to a link in the very same tie bar thread i had been reading. This is the product:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/S2000...Q5fAccessories

How could i beat that price with my choice of color. I went with the gold one as i wanted it to stand out when looking at the car from behind and it goes best with Suzuka i think. To me the only thing missing is some kind of decal but ill decide on that later.

Here is the bar. It is nice and solid. Simple design to know its aftermarket, so basically almost like the BEAKS bar.

This is OEM subframe bar vs Gladman Performance subframe bar

This is how i got under the car. Not crazy about putting the rear end up with the front wheels down. BIG NO NO

The install is pretty straight forward. There are 7 bolts to undo. 5 on the driver side and 2 on the passenger side. You'll need 14mm and 10mm sockets. Only one of the bolts on the passenger side gave me some resistance. All the others came right off. Here is a shot of the OEM bar while i was loosening the bolts.

Here is the new bar installed. A few close up and some a little further away

Overall im happy with the bar. Quickie install. LOOKS GOOD. Thanks for looking

looks good, I'm surprised that they are noticeable from the rear, I put on a CT Engineering one recently and it shows up pretty much like that one from behind. Nice colour.

Bar looks sweet. Cant beat the price. Sucks to see how much damage salt does under there though to you folks up north.

What's the performance benefit from the Gladman Performance subframe bar? Any benefit? Other than looking pretty?

Take a look at the third picture, the bar is taller and the material is a thicker.
