Is this a good deal on a hardtop?
it doesn't include the hardware so that would bring the price to 2135 it seems.
What is the going rate for these hardtops?
I was hoping I could get one for cheaper, is it likely that I could?
Thanks in advance, I'm just hesitant because because I have the top down almost every day.

Where did you get the $135 price from? I'm not sure what MY year you have, but install kit from Hardtopguy runs about $500 (for 02-07) - http://www.hardtopguy.com/store/product.ph...4&cat=92&page=1
Add that into HT price and it's a decent price. Buy it if you were planning on buying a hardtop, but nothing to jump all over. I think most used hardptops should be priced in the $2200-$2500 including hardware.

Thanks for all the intelligent responses. Helpful posts like these make S2ki what it is.
The owner of the hardtop told me that he could get the installation kit for $135.
He has the hardware kit on his car but would rather not take off the hardware.
Im confident I can get the hardtop including hardware for $2000. At this price could I easily flip It and break even in say a year?
Thanks again to all The helpful responses. Keep em comin.

If you go top-down so often... then why buy one. Hardtop isn't a cheap thing so you shouldn't make a move until you are determined to get it. Being hesitant will just waste a lot of your time.
If your going to buy used, you need to find one in your area. This way you know exactly what your getting. Insure that you get the side catchers with your purchase or subtract $500 from the price.
This is a bulky item that is costly to ship and probably wont ship with any degree of safty unless the seller has the original box.
Too many varibles to trust .

the seller is local. I'm gonna check it out today. Could someone explain side catchers?
I do go top down often but if I can buy it without the risk of losing any money then why not try it out for a few months?
Would anyone disagree that for $2000 I could easily flip it in a few months without losing money?
