It's also considered one of the quietest exhausts, it droned a little bit too much for me so I went with a T1R 70em and I like it
I wouldn't call them "trash". To be honest I went with the Skunk2 after many people here were saying that there no performance gains with the HKS. Possibly had something to do with the baffle design. Once I read a few threads that sounded not so impressive to say the least I picked up a Skunk2 on craigslist for $300

I like the sound of the HKS I just couldn't get past the fact that people either lost, or made no power.

The skunk2 is very high quality, but it is LOUD. If you are a highway commuter I don't reccomend it. The drone will make your ears bleed.

I'd never buy a skunk 2 or invidia n1 exhaust. Personally can't stand the sound or the look of them. Looks like your typical fart cannon imo.

The invidia q300 is a much nicer looking and sounding exhaust I think. With a test pipe it doesn't sound good as it gets really raspy but some like that.

I wouldn't go with the Q300 if I were to start over again. It's an exhaust that many s2k owners look at when they first buy the car, then end up selling it after a few months of owning it or after putting a test pipe on it. I know it gets old hearing this, but you get what you pay for. The longer you own the car the clearer that becomes. Then again don't take that advice as saying the most expensive item is the best, but just use your judgement.

I'd expect to spend around $800-$1000 for a good exhaust that you'll want to keep for a long time.

Hard to beat Berk's 3" single for the price.
