Default A good Test pipe.

I am looking to buy a Test Pipe for my car, but a good one. Alot of people will say "Its just a straight piece of pipe...buy any".

But from what I hear, Depending on which company you buy it from, it sounds different.

Currently my car has a K&N Typhoon CAI, and a Greddy Spectrum Elite Dual Exhaust. I want a Test pipe that will make the car a bit louder and accent the sound nicely, but without all that shitty raspiness. I hate that Raspy Civic/integra sound soooo damn much.

So is there a Test pipe out there that will not have a raspy sound to it?

Any sound differences will be VERY minimal. If you get a test pipe with your exhaust (any test pipe) it'll sound good.

Any test pipe that is un-resonated and 70mm piping diameter except Megan Racing.

I've had my Invidia 70mm for years and still no issues. Skunk2 also makes a good 70mm pipe.

I've had my t1r for a few years and I got it used. I installed a Berk on a friends car. Nice looking piece too.

If you're buying a true test-pipe, they're all the same. Its a straight piece of pipe in place of the cat. Buy whichever one is cheapest for the quality. They'll sound the same. A pipe is a pipe is a pipe.

The raspiness will be a function of your exhaust with how it reacts with the change.

Not all the same. There are different diameters and materials.

a pipe is a pipe. true. but is it going to fit like oem? will it not trigger a CEL? is it going to be some thin wall chinese crap?

if you want a time and time again proven to be the most perfect test pipe for the s2000 since its inception, buy a Berk Technology test pipe. guaranteed to be the best. ya, it might cost a little more than the other brands, but you get what you pay for. you wont have to use any de-foulers like the other brands. its simply plug-n-play
