Default Greddy Exhaust question

I have the Greddy 70mm single. when you take out the silencer do you just press the tip back on the exhaust? will the tip stay without anything holding it on? its pretty snug, actually very snug but I am just curious.

Yeah it just slides back in but there should be a little screw hole to hold the silencer in... atleast I think so I forget I never used the silencer before.

ya, there are 3 screws that hold the silencer in but those screws will not work without the silencer in.

the silencer will fall out if you don't use the bolts

I just received mine and noticed the same thing. The nuts used to hold the silencer and tip are welded to the silencer....

Take silencer out and you have no nuts

Off to home depot to match up new locking nuts with the screws!

I might do that as well. I am a little worried about the tip falling off without the silencer in or anything holding the tip on.

I just used my dremmel and cut off the tack welds. You definitely need to have the bolts in there when your running without the silencer.

They really didn't think the silencer through. I swap mine in and out a lot and it's a major PITA. Keeping up with the extra nuts is tedious. I'm eventually going to make an adapter to make the swap much easier.

Strange the dual is fine. Comes with screws and nuts that holds the tip in or you just slide the silencer in and the screws tighten right around it too. Maybe someone bought some since I bought mine second hand?

It's also super annoying getting the silencer out. I had to use the wooden handle of my mallet and pry away to break it loose.
