Default Hard top

I bought my first S2000 in year 2000 then sold it few years later..Well I just bought another one few days ago as it will be my track car. It will be solely a track car as I instruct and go to the track more than 20 events per year. However, I have an important question. I am about to put a hardtop on it and honestly buying the OEM one is a little much although I completely understand that its 100% fitment. But my car is going to be a track car and if I buy a top that fits 8 or 9 out of 10 I will be happy. Straight to the point I found on Ebay hardtops that go for 750 plus shipping which makes it $1000 now that

Visit the above thread for one of the best solutions to a permanent hard top install, without having a roll cage. There are no parts on the soft top that relate to the hard top installation, nor can any of them realistically be used to mount a hard top.

Are you asking about the quality of the eBay tops, or if the hardware works on eBay tops?

If the latter, then yes, the hardware will work on any top that is designed to accept the stock hardware.

If the former, do a search, there are many tens of threads on the different hard top variations available. You can even try the "Official Hard Top" thread(s):

There's also a "version 2" Official Hard Top thread, as well as many, many other related threads.
