Default hard top - 'GT' style ?

Hi!

First up, I'm new.
So don't flame me too hard.

I've always wanted an S2k. I loved my 2001 BB6 Prelude VTI-R that I owned for a few years. The obvious upgrade from that would be the S2k...

Rear-wheel drive, more power, sheer driving bliss...

I had a grown up moment though, and for the last 2 years or so have been driving an Hiyundai I30 Turbo Diesal. Great move financialy but a kind of dull to drive...

In-short...

I'm entertaining the idea of grabbing an S2k.

I was looking on the net and noticed this photo...

Does anyone know what's going on in pic?

It looks like a GT version of the S2k or something... Highly interesting to me...
Was this ever made by Honda? Is it a custom job? Any ideas?

I have seen the OEM hard tops or maybe they are after market, I don't know. They don't really apeal to me.

Or maybe I am wasting my time and I should just enjoy the S2k for what it is, a great convertable sports car.

Thoughts, Ideas, flames?

Thanks guys!

- Andrew

that looks photoshop man....definately not a factory s2k..never even seen that pic. possibly a proto type of the nsx when it was in the works...could be wrong....there is no such thing as a GT S2k... closest thing in the states would be the CR

its a photoshop. The windshield is way more slanted. Also look at the area around the trunk. It doesnt fit right. This picture was discussed a while back.

I thought as much.

A perfect responce would be 'I can tell from some of the pixels...' if anyone know's the reference...

It's ashame though, I like the look.

Also.

I have heard of a few, unscrupulous persons, taking advantage of the soft tops inherint insecurity and ripping it apart to gain un-authorized access; stealing seats and who knows what else from the innards of some unsuspecting parked S2000s. =(

It makes me a little weary of buying one.

looks like a chop between an s2k and a del sol, for side windows, maybe windshield, and i dont know where the rear window came from, shouldnt be too hard to find though, just find a car where the rear wiper is mounted on the glass itself

the pic the OP posted is a known photoshop, and you can get a Honda s2000 GT in the UK, it comes with a hardtop

Agreed. The model honda could have offered as an option. I would have been all over it.
