I Just bought HARDTOP and I am thinking about buy latch. but question is get AP1's or AP2's. Tried to buy used in this forums. I am sure AP2's latch is expensive then AP1's. also it's stronger then AP1. the question is AP1 Latch will do same and working fine with Hardtop? Anyone used Ap1 latch on hardtop? Is it lock up fine?

I tink dat the ap1 an Ap2 latches are da same either one willl work good.

 

The AP2 latches are made out of depleted uranium.

 

I think they are all the same, but a newer one will have more tension than an older one just due to wear. I bought a great lighly used set from Davgoat, shoot him a pm and see what he has, as he had a few sets of them last time I heard. My old ones lost all tension, these new ones are so tight, huge difference.

 

02+ is the upgraded latch, probably x2 in size, some latches even state HT on them.
