I just bought an AP2 hardtop and I have an AP1 s2k. I was wondering if there is anyone who has an AP2 s2k but and AP1 hardtop and is willing to trade?
OR
If someone sold their hardtop and has the needed hardware left to convert AP1 s2k to fit an AP2 hardtop

BTW the hardtop that I have is suzuka blue (I think) and I will be painting it Silver Stone.

I didn't think there was a difference in the hardtops. Just the mounting hardware.

 

Yeah, to my knowledge it's just the mounting hardware that bolts to the car that is different.

 

The hardware is not even that much diffrent.. Only diffrence is the connector harness for the defroster.. That catcher is the same tho. Can be used in AP2 or AP1.... If you have AP2 of course the defroster will work. AP1 just needs extra wiring for the early models that didnt come with a factory installed defroster...

Only the first two year AP1s.

The last two years came with the same harness as the AP2's for the back seat area, but a different wire harness for the defroster switch connector.
