Any car with no wheels looks pretty goofy. I'd get wheels before I'd worry about a new top. If you go with the hard top, you'll miss out on those opportunities to drop the top whenever you feel like it. A hard top definitely changes the look of the car.

If you find yourself putting the top down quite frequently, then I would say replace the soft top and save some $$$ because you will miss it. I was in the same boat but decided to get a hardtop because I rarely put the top down as it is. I can say that there are times where I wish I could just drop it when it's nice out, but 99% of the time I am happy with the hardtop. I never liked convertibles very much in the first place so that is my reasoning for going that route.

If you drive with the top up much I would get a hardtop. It makes a top up ride a million times better.

I replaced my 03's soft top 2 years ago. Here in the south,my top down at least 4-6 times a week.
New Robbins top installed is approx. $800-$1,000.

When (if) you sell, soft top is a good selling feature.

I was lurking and ran across this post. If you want an amazing soft top replacement for a good price, get a hold of Jordan Kwolik. Not familiar with Jackson but were in the middle tennessee area. Message me if you want his number. He's also backed up by Billman. Did my engine rebuild and is an awesome guy.

Even if you do get the hard top, you'll eventually want the soft top repaired if you use it with any regularity.

Hi, Just ran across your post while looking for top info. I'm in the Nashville area and looking for someone to replace my top. Can you send me his number? Thanks, Jack
