Enjoy racing can also help with the hardware. The OEM top is heavier however the real glass and interior liner makes it much higher quality. The added weight isn't that big a deal considering the difference in quality.

We had a tech day at my place. Guy rolls in with a top that I thought was OEM, when I asked what happened to the piece of trim that was missing he said, " Nothing's missing, it's a replica". No thanks.

Marketplace will be your best bet for hardware. And yes, the weight should be different as the oem is made with aluminum and is not just an frp mold like the reps are. I had the spoon style (shine) for about 6 months before trading for oem. Still one of the best decisions I've made while modding this car. Fitment is amazing, as well as quality. I wouldn't worry too much about what top is heavier unless you're doing some serious racing.

And fwiw, the oem top is easier to take on and off (with oem hardware) than rep tops, which is a huge plus for me.

Good luck!

I don't personally own a hardtop but based on looks alone from checking out different tops at meets. I would consider an OEM one first because they always seem to fit the best. Replicas aren't all created equally. I have seen some that look great and some that look like they need some help. The RSG amuse tops look nice and it is a little different if that's what you are looking for.
