Default Hardtop Rattle

I have an aftermarket rockstar garage hardtop...Over bumps and rouch surfaces there is a rattle. I know part of the noise is actually the soft top moving around, but I know that the majority of the noise is the hardtop rattling around. I have done research...I have put rubber tubing around the "hardtop latch hook" and I have also greased the seals. (The grease will only last so long) What other things are out there to help with this?

Is the OEM Hardtop rattle free?

Thanks!

The rattle sounds like it would do damage to the windows or trunk area...But whenever I lift the top off, everything seems fine. Anybody with some fresh ideas?

Even the OEM top makes noises sometimes. It's mostly from the front latches.

Mine are just creaks from the rear sides. Strangely the other day it was around 20 degrees here and I didn't hear a single noise. Sealed shut. By end of day it was in the 50's and the rattles were back

The top itself doesn't rattle it's the latches/hardware.

use lock washers for the bolts that go into the windshield frame. That did it for me when I had creaks. use lock washers where ever they fit

My forbidden ht used to creak around the rear and rattle upfront which was the front oem latches. I went to home depot and got some thick foam tape attached that to the rubber seal provided by forbidden which makes the top sit a little higher but no noise ever. As of today I just picked up some Izzy brackets for the front cause the rattling drives me nuts so i'll keep you posted if that eliminates the noise.

My front latches rattle on my OEM. I stuffed a small wax applicator pad behind it to stop the noise for now. I'm sure if I put some black tape around the latches where the buttons are located it will stop the rattle. I'll be playing with it this weekend.
