Default Harrts Soft top

Hey, I just got a Harrts soft top off of ebay. I ordered all new weather seals for it and tension cables for it and I am just going to assemble it in the next couple of days. It is a little cold here in Central New York, do I really need to use a heat gun? It would also be cool if you guys could clue me in on some good tips for putting the top on. Let me know what you have to say on this topic!

This is a pretty good DIY so you know what you're getting into.

+1 on this DIY - I just replaced my top a few weeks ago. To get it to close initially I had my 11 year old son climb on the front of the top and maneuvered one side at a time. Wait a week before opening and it will stretch out nice. Also, if you listen to your radio while you're doing the install you'll probably drain the battery.
