Hasport 62a motor mounts review
I had a broken passanger side motor mount so i decided to buy the hasport motor mount set in the softest 62a setting. I thought some stiffer mounts would help since i'm pushing over 400whp. I have used hasport mounts in my civic and integra and they have always worked great. This has got to be the worst mod for the s2000. These mounts not only make the car vibrate like crazy but the car is extreamly loud and the car is now very unconfertable to drive. Going on the freeway you can hear and feel every single vibration of the engine. The car is so loud on the freeway that you cannot even hold a conversation. I thought i could live with it but after 2 weeks i bought new oem mounts and put them in.
I have over 400whp with a straight through 3" exhaust system with no cat and an open wastegate dump tube and I can live with my car just fine. But i couldent live with or stand the car with thrse motor mounts. The mounts are louder than my whole exhaust system.
I use to have a log turbo setup which placed the turbine housing right above the motor mounts with less than a fingers gap of clearance. This caused the stock mount to slowly break. My stock mounted lasted about 20k miles. I now have a sidwinder turbo set which places the turbo on the front of the car and my downpipe had at least 4 or 5 inches of clearance to the motor mount. The downpipe is also dei titanium wraped. The has sport mount melted in matter of a few days.
I sent the melted mount back to hasport and the warranted it for free and i sold the mounts.
I know why all the high hp turbo guys still run stock mounts.

mine was un barable just cruzing on the freeway. The whole car would just constantly shake and rattle none stop. And the noise on the freeway was very very loud. Louder than the loudest exhaust i ever had or heard. You could feel and hear the engine like as if you were sitting under the hood.
The style of mount makes a different as well. The Hasport mounts are solid billet aluminum with a small urethane insert; even the 62a cause noticeable vibration (compared to stock). That said, I had 70a mounts on both my current and previous S2000's.

I know that this is an thread, but I just installed some Hasport 62A engine mounts and I must say that I love them. Throttle response is more crisp and my car shifts alot smoother. Heel toeing is also better. I'll sacrifice a little vibration for the benefits. It must sound louder from the outside while driving because I seem to be turning a lot more heads than with my blower alone.
