haz anyone find a solid bolton combo for ap1
what I want is better acceleration. and definitely more low end power this car feels like a b16 del sol
what I'm looking for is the combination that would give me the a solid bump in power all the way throughout the rpm
click the link above where I referenced the header comparison for b series and look at the dyno chart for toda header I want that kind of improvement not just some spike in power between 5000-7000rpm

it was actually a del sol with a stock usdm type-r motor made 200whp/137tq and it was breaking traction when vtec hit in first gear all the way to redline there was no "chirping" it was no traction with any tires...
this s2k is all stock for now and I'm not feeling it yet
I definitely need more low end and more power overall. I don't want to build a drag monster but I will be happy with whatever I can get with boltons without replacing internals or pistons or stroker kit or boost

Urge Designs Scavenger exhaust+tune to lower VTEC: Scavenger Exhaust System | URGE designs. You could get 80% of the way there by just installing a 63mm test pipe and getting a tune. PWDJDM intake has solid proven gains according to Gernby's tests, but again you'd need a tune. Could pickup a few more horses with a quality header, after a tune. In short, if you want to pickup power in this car you're going to need a way to tune it. Not cheap or easy with the pre-06 cars.
i know tune is a must obviously that shouldn't even be a question
i just don't want to waste money on parts that don't work well together on this car
there are combinations of parts that will gain zero power when combined together and there are parts that will gain a very good amount when combined together..
that's pretty much is what I'm asking
a good combination of boltons that work well together that is proven to work on more than one engine
k series. rbc manifold is proven to gain very little on k24 by itself. people still slap it on without the supporting mods.
with a bigger TB and higher redline it is a completely different thing
same with b series. there are combinations of parts that make great power. but they all have to be used together or you get shit
from what i found the magic is bigger throttle body, aftermarket header, and 70mm single exhaust with test pipe but its a drone
so i would probably go with hiflow cat and dual 70mm exhaust
but then some catbacks don't make any noticeable difference in power and some do

At first, I was going to suggest Michael Bolton.
But...in all seriousness, a K24 swap can likely be done for close to the cost of I/H/E bolt-on's for a F series.
I had a K24 ITR and my S2000 together. A N/A S2000 will never feel like a K swapped car (for realistic money).
Gearing down the S2000 will help make it feel more torquey down low.

Cams are easy to R&R. The timing chain does not attach to them...so they just come out.
I don't think there is one deadly effective combo.
People have had luck with the AEM CAI/K&N FIPK, PLM Header (or Toda if you can be a bit spendy) 70MM TP, and 70MM exhaust.
There was some guy running like a 12.8 on a similar combo.
However, that was with a 2.2L. And accelerating without launching TF out of it is probably still a bit sluggish.
And exactly 0 cars with 70MM exhausts are quiet or low drone or something you'd want to drive long distances sans ear plugs.
^Actually...that's true for any 4cyl NA car that runs in the 12's or faster.
My GSR and my B18C ITR felt better down low than my F20 does.
Are you after that big block feel? Even in my big fat (6MT) TSX with long legged gears, the K24A2 feels way more meaty than my ~600LB lighter, short geared S2000 with a F20.
You can take K24's to 8200. I sho did :/
Maybe a K20 swap would be a good compromise?
Bolt on modding a F20 isn't going to be as satisfying as a B series. The B series was great...but it was kinda corked up from the factory.
The F20 is really close to being maxed out. You could K pro it to maximize the gain. Or add in a huge amount of midrange, which is what the doctor ordered.
ITB's add shitloads midrange. But IDK how driveable the car will be.
