torque is not the same as hp.
get that through yer head.
so what will be weakest link once diff is replaced??
It may be good to go from there who knows I guess we will see.
No one knows what will come of this added torque. Just suspect.
Drive it hard waiting for your findings.
come on someone say is ignorance in Bliss.
You're right, HP is not TQ. HP is just work over time. Good on you for defining it for us.
Still makes most of your comments ignorant.
We could even place bets and see how long it'll last before it grenades!
My goal for my car is to have enough HP/TQ and traction that I snap the A arms off. Then all I have to do is buy or build better ones.
The built Camaro diff will take anything I will be able to give it. I really don't think that I will be able get enough traction to break anything.

Hmmmm not sure if
or just
Sir, you do have to realize that people doing the swap have done a great share of research and have owned their car for quite some time. I myself am doing one V8 swap car but still have 2 F-series powered AP1's sitting in the garage.
Since your new to the S2000, own it for awhile and get use to it.... then comment back.
Your also making ASSumptions about things you have yet to experience. You do realize that there are EASILY 20+ LSx powered S2000's now. Several of us that have spoken in here already have one.
/ rant
Don't worry, the ones of us that know you from the V8forum know you're a dick!
I agree with you. If you are going to comment at least know something about what you're commenting on.

Just really pisses me off when people who just buy an S2000 come in to a somewhat technical discussion and attempt to doubt everything thats already been proven.

Yea most everything I posted the OP said he is dealing with. One does not need to be an engineer to know adding three times more torque to a car will cause problems.
So lets hear of these proven results post a link and I will stfu. All I am asking is what are your findings show me.
So yea lets think things out before making a topic in regards to this issue. Most s2000 owners would consider this an abortion ofa great car. You must of thought of the post you would get.
LOL
Ok Bliss if anyone is going to make any comments about a V8 swap s2000 and have the knowledge to back it up its going to be me. I have built three myself and helped with others in person or over the phone. Oh yeah did I mention a started a company manufacturing the components to do these swaps. Your entitled to your opinions but until you have built one or he'll even just for to ride in one they are just that opinions. The chassis handles the extra torque just fine it's not a POS to begin with. First of all most convertibles are stiffer than non because they don't have a roof to help spread the load. If this concerns you than don't do the swap or don't do a turbo with big numbers. Oh wait those cars haven't twisted apart yet either. Things will change when more power is added to anything that's why there are aftermarket companies to sell the upgrades. But it's still doesn't mean that the car is going to fall apart. So if you still need more proof check out some of the videos on YouTube of these cars on the track or ask some of us how many miles we have on them. I know there are some out there with over 10k miles On The swap.
Just my .02 which might be worth more like a grand on this topic.

I thought I brought up valid issues.
People that want this modification may want to know what needs to be done to the car to support that motor.
Thanks for your reply.
