Default Help: Muffler and Resonator Delete

Okay, so I know right off the bat I am going to get criticism for this setup but I promise that I hate it just as much as anyone.

Back story: I removed the stock Y-pipe and mufflers and had a local exhaust shop pipe 2.5" all the way back and put a tip. I thought it sounded decent, it was pretty loud but no louder than a 5.0 Mustang with their Borla exhaust so I wasn't complaining. But between 2,000 and 4,000 rpms, the sound it created was pretty odd. It wasn't a very refined sound and at the lower end kind of resembled a diesel truck. Now, I am no expert on resonators but I did some research and figured that the resonator was affecting the sound at lower rpms and making it sound all distorted. So I spent the money and got it removed.... It is probably the most "ricey" sounding exhaust I have ever heard in my life, where you get that resonance sound of a fart can civic at 2k and 4k and mad drone upon deceleration. In a way I was right, but it made my exhaust sound so much worse I absolutely have to fix it.

So here is my question: Should I take it back and have the resonator installed or should I just buy a muffler? I have read through a lot of the information on here about exhaust but most exhaust systems are with the stock resonator or have a different one. I would prefer to get a muffler, but I'm worried that it won't remove the resonance or the drone, or at least not enough. Any help would be appreciated.

If you're looking for more sound, you can do a UK mod to the stock exhaust (look up UK MOD s2000)

I'd rather spend my money on a exhaust system then welding.

It would be cheaper at this point to find a local OEM exhaust (there should be some in your area) for around $100-150, spend another $100 to weld on some pipes to the loop section of the exhaust (UK MOD) and go from there.

Otherwise there are a good # of exhaust for under 1000 that will give you a quality sounding exhaust made from Stainless steel.

I'd definitely reinstall the resonator. I'm thinking about cutting mine after the resonator and converting to single with a different muffler. Mostly for weight but a little bit more sound would be fun.
Allergic to drone though. (previous invidia n1 single owner now running ap1 oem lol)
