Default HID Bulb Gurus

So I did some researching and it's said that 80% of Philips bulbs sold are fake, albeit very good fakes. I'm just wondering if these are real genuine philips ultinon 6k bulbs.

Found this link to identify fakes:
http://www.hidbulbzrus.com/vs.pdf
http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/...e-Counterfeits

Here they at a great price but according to one of those resources, these bulbs wholesale for 80 bucks each. Anything less than that and they are surely fake. Here's a pair for 99 bucks.

Taken from one of the links you posted:

"A true 6000K Ultinon bulb from Philips will always have red colored salts in the arc chamber not yellow colored salts"

The pic in the Ebay add looks yellow-ish in the arc chamber, not red.

I recently put these in my car and am happy with them so far...might be another option for you

Retrofit Source D2S bulbs

I can't really look since i am on my phone but i do know eBay member hidbulbzrus or however you spell it is the only member that sells genuine Phillips bulbs. he does not sell the ultinon last I knew. I however will recommend against the ultinon.....way too blue.
If you can find the osram/sylvania cib bulbs....I recently got a set when they were not yet available in the states and they are rediculous brightness and purple/white flicker. I can see at least 20ft wider than any other bulb. THe bulbs I picked up from. The retro fit source were junk in the 6000k. Less output than my used oems and the colors didn't match each other

If you want whiter looking HID bulbs without losing any output, I HIGHLY recommend the Osram Cool Blue Intense bulbs. They are a little pricey but WELL worth the money.

Thanks for the responses. I don't want anything too blue so I guess the Ultinons are out. I just want something pure white with the tiniest hint of blue.

These seem like what I'm looking for. Anybody have any other experience with these?

^Wow, I the color looks good. That's what I'm looking for. And by your post, they are actually brighter than stock and good quality? I think I'll go with those if so.
